Fun with Arduino #1: The beginning
I got around to finally playing around with my Arduino last week. I had been waiting until I had a solderless breadboard and at least an LCD display. I went one better and also got an Ethernet shield for it, because after all, what’s more fun than mucking about with data from the intarwebs? My first foray into electronics was nothing more than rigging up the LCD and playing around with some code examples on the net. Nothing spectacular or uber-interesting yet, but I have some ideas I’m toying around with. The next thing I’m going to look at is the ethernet shield and just trying to get the board on the net. Once I do that, then the fun part of tying things together comes when I try to put together my first project. It involves Twitter, but I don’t want to go into it too much yet until I’m positive I can pull it off.
I’ll be reinstalling a wiki on the site within a few days so I can document experiences and also collect links and information.
