My corner of the web

This year, Thanksgiving was great. Beth cooked, and my mom and sister made the trek down from Pennsylvania. They came bearing gifts, too. Emma got some clothes and a stuffed animal, Beth got some earrings, I got my Yuengling beer (not available down here in Georgia, a shame). The meal itself was wonderful, and I made it through with no problems. Just icing on the cake for me, seeing my family, my love and our family coming together.

Thanksgiving is fast approaching once again, and I’m looking forward to it. My mom and sister are making their way down to see us, and Beth gets to do the ceremonial roasting of the turkey. While I am excited, I can’t help but miss my dad. Thanksgiving always reminds me of him, and this year is just as tough, if not tougher, than last year on me. Last year I was still in somewhat of a state of shock, but this year my mind is really thinking about him, if that makes any sense. Anyway, if I don’t post again before the holiday, have a great Thanksgiving.
