There’s an interesting thread going on over at the Ubuntu Forums concerning the current filesystem. Someone brought up the idea of changing the structure, and all sorts of opinions came out. I posted my responses to someone here. I’ll elaborate on it more, but essentially the thought that a package manager is needed due to the directory structure is a bit… funny… to me.
