“Socks aren’t vegetables, man, they should be wiped out!”
Another great weekend is in the books. We took in a movie, did a little shopping and cleaned up the apartment. I managed to clear out my work area around my computer a bit and made things a bit easier to work around. I just need to top it off with a light yet and I’ll be set to go. Preparations for Emma’s arrival continue, but we’re at a point where most things are in order. The countdown continues onward, and I’m still excited and cannot wait. I need to keep an eye out for deals on a video camera as we want to document things (and have potential blackmail material for later on in her life).
So, 7/7/7 came and went. Just another day, really. I still remember 8/8/88 when I was a whopping 11. Everyone seemed to think it was a very special day. Ok, so numerically it would happen once in any given lifetime, but really it’s just another day. The one thing that amazed me is that people were rushing to either get married, or have their child on that day. I can understand the cool factor, but trying to induce labor to have a child on that day? Come on now, that’s a bit much. I’d rather have a healthy child than risk having her two months early, just for the sake of a date.
Anyway, that’s enough of my ranting and useless drivel for now. I have a couple of Linux HOWTOs coming up this week.
